Norvite
celebrates 35th Anniversary
Norvite recently celebrated 35 years as specialists in animal nutrition
with an afternoon of activities at Lochter for all the
staff, followed by a steak barbecue and presentations to
the ten longest-serving employees.

The ten, who have in total accumulated an amazing 238 years service
for Norvite [Alistair Pirie, founding director, 35 years; Charlie
Sharp, warehouseman , 33 years; Roy Pirie, transport manager, 33
years; Colin Beaton, production manager, 32 years; Derek Michie,
delivery driver, 32 years; Janice Muirden, office manager, 20 years; Robert
McConachie, delivery driver, 20 years; Heather Cameron, customer
services, 17 years; Mike Massie, blending plant manager, 17 years;
Alasdair Brodie, feed specialist, 15 years], were each presented
with a crystal ships decanter in honour of their hard-work and loyalty.
Managing Director, Ed Smith, paid tribute to each of them, “The
success of Norvite is the result of the people who have shaped the
business and its reputation for 35 years. For any business to have
endured and continued to grow is not by good luck. The fact is that
the success of any business is down to the people who work within
it. People who take the order, look after the accounts, formulate
and manufacture the product, load the wagon, deliver the product
and those who shape the strategy. Even the salesmen have a contribution
to make! Our business cannot work without all of you making all these
things happen.”
